T is for Tartan is a print that I have been dreaming about for sometime. When an idea bounces around in your head for a few years sometimes you just need to put pen to paper (or pixels to screen) and do it already. I had to silence the doubts in my own head that were saying, “you design websites and logos, not prints”, “your peers aren’t creating content like this”, and of course, “what if it fails”.
Eventually, I followed what I truly wanted to create and just went for it because I loved it, and hopefully you will too. I have always had a thing for plaid (or tartans) and thought this would be a unique design to not only showcase some of my favorites, but a fun way for your little lad or lassie to learn their letters.
If you are unfamiliar with tartans; a tartan (tar·tan): is a plaid textile design of Scottish origin consisting of stripes of varying width and color usually patterned to designate a distinctive clan. There are literally hundreds of tartans, but I stuck to some of the most traditional and oldest family clans. The tartans that are featured in the print are:
